Photo sessions are so much fun and memorable. However, if not planned well, they can be a little stressful. Here are 5 simple and easy tips to a successful session.
1. Choose your clothes wisely.
You can coordinate but don't need to be "matchy matchy." Pick colors that look good together and bring out your style. For large families, you can pick one or two bold colors for everyone to incorporate along with neutral colors. This beautiful family picked blue.
2. Make sure everyone is well rested and fed.
A hungry baby is usually a cranky baby. That goes for adults too! If your planning on having lunch or dinner after the session, make sure you have a snack to keep your energy up. Get some rest too so you don't look tired. For young children, it's best to plan the photo session around their nap time.
3.Give yourself plenty of time to get ready.
Plan on arriving a little early to your photo session. This way everyone is relaxed and no one is rushed. When you arrive late, it sets the tone for a rushed session.
4. Bring a prop
Choose a prop that fits your style. For example, you can bring Santa hats for Christmas pictures or a sign for your "Save the Date." For outdoor photos, bring a blanket to sit on so you don't get your cloth dirty.
5. HAVE FUN!
Your mood sets the tone for the whole session. Have fun and make it a memorable experience. One day, you want to look back at your photos and remember how much fun you had taking them.
